Is it your argument that it is a fact that the Federal Government has to ship more money to Red States than it does to Blue States? No, the point is that the citizens of the blue states pay more in revenue to the federal gov't than it gets back in monies from the feds. Conversely, the red states get more money from the feds than they pay in. And if it is your argument---why do you say is this a bad thing--assuming for the sake of argument it is true? I didn't say it was bad thing. This discussion started by you saying that the EU needs to kick Greece to the curb. My argument is there will always be weaker states/provinces in a country and the richer states have an obligation to take care of the poorer ones........within reason. Greece has done enough to show that its trying........now its up to Germany, the Netherlands, France and some of the other nordic nations to do what they can to stimulate the Greek economy so it can get back on its feet. And are you saying that this proves what? That Republican governed states can't attract or manage a business economy? That's a different subject........but I do believe some of the red states are very poorly managed and need a better set of pols.
