ALL, 266 MHz 0.25um K6 CPU Computer is SHIPPING.

WINDOWS Magazine, December 1977, page 116

"PII-Class Performance for a Pittance [$2,288 to be exact]

You don't have to put out big bucks to get big power. The AMD-K6 processor offers performance virtually equivalent to that of Intel's premier Pentium II processor -- for substantially less money. Until recently, AMD offered only 200MHz and 233MHz versions of its K6 processor. Now, a new version of the K6 chip, with a 266MHz clock speed, is popping up in a handful of desktop and tower computers. The Polywell Poly K6266Mx is the first machine we've seen that uses the new AMD processor.

...Polywell's first AMD-K6 266MHz machine is outstanding. Its basic configuration leaves little to be desired and its overall performance is not only noteworthy, but good enough to earn a spot on out WinList of recommentded products.

...Polywell and other manufacturer's using AMD processors are counting on that company to become more competitive with Intel in the coming months. The AMD K6-266 is the first chip from this manufacturer that's made using a 0.25-micron process... AMD is aggressively pushing its K6 technology and will launch a 300MHz version of this processor sometime in early 1998, according to sources close to the company."

AMD K6 SYSTEMS ARE NOW THE BEST-BUY SYSTEMS IN ALL THREE CATEGORIES OF DESKTOP COMPUTER SYSTEMS ON WINDOWS' WINLIST!!

The price above includes a 17" Sampo monitor, 32M SDRAM, Matrox Millenium II 4M, Maxtor 5.1G UIDE.
