In what seems a long time, but in reality was only about four years ago, Obama was running for the democratic candidacy as a contender for President of the United States of America.
Back then, during that campaign, we all learned about Obama' association with Reverend Wright; We all were aware of his upbringing, at least partially, in a Moslem country, and his possible Moslem roots. We all knew of his coziness with Bill Ayers; We heard the rumblings that he might not even be eligible, since he may have been born in Kenya; We all had heard about the drugs and booze;
We knew full well he hadn't even completed a full term as a US Senator, and had served in the State legislature, had never held a real job, and was very likely to vote "Present" on any issue which might have any repercussions or political implications down the road.
All of us knew the man had been a 'Community Organizer" .... and was associated with group called ACORN. We all knew of the involvement of a famous (infamous?) Chicago mob-related figure in the purchase of his house. We knew his adult roots were firmly in Chicago, home of many questionable political activities in the past.
We heard him proclaim the energy prices would skyrocket if he was elected. It was a safe bet to assume he was an ultra liberal, tax-and-spend democrat. We saw he failed to wear a flag on his lapel, and was totally unaware of proper protocol when reciting the pledge of allegiance and during the playing of the National Anthem. We witnessed his 'flip-flopping' on several issues, to positions contrary to those he declared when he was a Senator.
In short, the country knew what we were getting, if we elected Barak Hussein Obama as our next President.
But that's exactly what we did. We turned the helm of the nation over to this man, even though we knew, in our hearts, he was not capable of fulfilling the role.
Now we have witnessed over three years of sheer incompetence, and a demonstrated lack of any trace of leadership talent or ability. We've seen this man, who promised to be a uniter, inject himself into situations and intentionally do things he knew would divide us. We've witnessed him getting caught by an 'accidently' open microphone engaging in what can only be described as some mysterious conversation with the Russians; we've seen him turn his back on one of our strongest allies, Israel. We've been here to see him interject the country into a role which eventually culminated in the installation of a government dominated by radical Muslims in Egypt and Libya, and probably Tunisia.
We've watched him stand and thump his own chest, bragging about what "he" had done, after the Navy Seals risked their lives going into Pakistan to either capture or do away with our # 1 Terrorist enemy, Bin Ladin - said chest thumping occurring after he himself declared there would be no "Spiking of the Football" over Bin Ladin's death.
We've witnessed the telling of many half-truths and some downright lies, when he was presenting a speech, or talking with reporters. We've endured several luxurious vacations for him and his family, with a great deal of them being at our expense, while we scraped and scratched to make our house payments, and keep our vehicles, after losing our jobs due to the economy he promised to fix, but has only made much worse. We saw him pumping trillions into businesses, and banks - trillions of our tax dollars ..... only to watch these businesses go broke, or throw lavish conventions and retreats on this taxpayer money.
In short we have endured over three years of one of the most incompetent, disloyal, truth-bending, capitalism hating, nation dividing presidents we've ever had. And he is now running for reelection. Worst of all, there are still Americans out here who say they'll vote for him again. After all the things they have seen and heard ... all the incompetent actions .... all the false rhetoric ....... all the finger pointing and blaming ..... they are STILL GOING TO VOTE FOR HIM.
I have to wonder what has happened to this great country?
I am just glad I don't have children and grandchildren who will have to deal with all these problems this guy is kicking down the road. I'm old, and don't have long left here anyway, so doesn't matter too much for me. But our next few generations are being robbed of their chance to enjoy the real freedom loving, open, and prosperous USA I have been privileged to know and enjoy. Yet, people here in this country will still go out and cast a vote for this rabidly socialist, anti-capitalistic, anti-American way, narcissistic politician. All I can really say is, it's very sad and disheartening, to believe there are enough blind and/or stupid people to actually put this guy back in office for four more years. |
