She was truly a wonderful gal. She played Center on her women's basketball team in the 1930's in high school. Spare the rod and spoil the child------if she used the rod she did sparingly (how is that for a word.)

She was more likely to have a talk with you and if younger, put you in the corner of the room until you were ready to rejoin the family. Putting a child in the corner now is likely forbidden.
