Oil and OPEC: from briefing.com: 15:00 ET Dow +40, Nasdaq +3, S&P +6.52: Market holding firm now as investors begin to express some holiday optimism... DJUA (+2.85) turning in a stellar performance and sits at another all-time high... Modest gains in the broader market underpinned by strength in the airlines and many of the drug stocks... Oil and oil drilling stocks among the weakest performers today with talk of OPEC possibly raising its quota amid slowing demand triggering some concern.
