And there is no proof that Trayvon initiated the assault as I have noted. It is very likely that Zimmermann had actually initiated the assault.

Two guys get in a fight - one has bruised knuckles the other has a broken nose and cuts to the back of his head. Given this circumstantial evidence - it's pretty hard to imagine another scenario that would fit the facts so far.

Why is it very likely zimmerman started the assault - trayvon ran, zimmerman lost him and had even called the police - knowing they were on the way - why in the world would he assault someone when they would probably arrest him instead of trayvon?

You're suggestion that zimmerman started a fight makes no sense at all. It's far more believable that trayvon may have thought someone was after him (to harm him) and decided to land the first punch.
