All the value information looks good for UEIC. For me, I would be a buyer if they had products that work w/ Bluetooth and WIFI as these are the primary interfaces for Android and IPhones to work w/ 3rd party devises.

Lot's of very interesting Bluetooth audio players, docking stations w/HDMI connectors now available. WiFi ready devises are also making their way to retail. I just bought a WiFi home thermostat ( A 3M Co. (MMM) -NYSE product radiothermostat.com ) that allows me to read temps and set heat/air remotely from my smart phone, tablet and/or computer. Very useful for my new income property (ie. owner's unit) as I can set the water heater and home heat temp especially for the Winter month's as it is below freezing and minimal heat keeps pipes from freezing.

From my cursory look at UEIC's Web site(s) they distribute RF cable remote units that work w/ set top boxes and TV sets.

UEIC is in a shrinking market unless they can leapfrog into devises that use Bluetooth and/or Wifi or build their RF devises that somehow are Android App/IPhone App enabled. I just didn't see any thing currently in distribution that addresses this growing market. That is not to say that they may have one or more products in development.

Just my quick observation as I am a gadget guy ready to try these different devises but am finding that my new smart phone (Galaxy T-989 w/ Andriod 2.3.6) can pretty much do anything that a stand alone devise can do now. If not, an app is currently being developed to do so. The nice feature on my Android phone, is I can update t it (free) when Google updates the Android OS.
