Hatch is a fighter. But when push comes to shove, he will vote the way most of us here want a Senator to vote.

One problem that I have with re-electing Hatch, or any 80 year old is the age. Even the youngest, most energetic senator has to rely a lot on aides for the detail of reading and writing bills. Hatch will be 86 if he completes another term. It is extremely unlikely that he will have the mental capacity to know what he is voting on. Re-electing Hatch is, in effect, electing his senior aides.
