What makes you think Getty Images is losing money? They were solidly profitable when they were taken private
Review the Thoughts of a Bohemian, way before and since then. Man has his finger on that particular part of the photo industry, like nobody else. He foretold Getty would tank and go private - repeatedly pounding his shoe on the table about it - before anyone else even thought about that possibility.

Clear case of rinse the pig, lather it up, put lipstick on it, sell it and repeat.
