Mohan,

Do you remember the name of the Saudi Prince who was a big buyer of Citicorp (~13) in the midst of the Latin American banking crisis in early 80s? Any relation to Prince Al Waleed, who is purchasing MOT, NewsCorp and NSCP? I think Al Waleed is the son. businessweek.com

A newsclip mentioned:

"The prince ... made his estimated $11 billion fortune by investing in ailing companies and helping them to recover..." That doesn't sound like a bad track record, though it doesn't disclose his losses. <g>

Hope Chilaka has some protection from the talons of Al Waleed's hawks!
