Evolution is tightly bound to profitability. From the tiniest microbes to the most complex of organisms, even technology, non-industrial institutions like jurisprudence, and societies ... entities change develop and grow as it profits them. Not only in a material or monetary sense but also in the development of higher states of consciousness. If we are not careful to distinguish the proper growth and profitability scenario, we can corrupt the case specific formula. Education driven by internal economic profitability is a formula for corruption IMO.

For that reason organizations and representatives of organizations founded upon growth should be rewarded according to the prevailing growth criteria of the entity itself. In the case of Corporations, well render unto Ceasar ya know. Of course we must guard against corruption and abuse which is easily fed by individual greed but lets be careful about painting with a broad brush. In the case of teachers, the profit criteria has a different bottom line which is student achievement where educator economic profit has not been considered a factor... a decent living wage has been but that does lend itself to equivalent comparison with corporate executives motivated by economic profit. The profitability associated with education is vastly different than the profitability associated with Corporate enterprise.

...more but I'll let you respond to this much first.
