I'm not sure I got the joke. The comparison was to S. Dakotans not N. Dakotans but I don't think you were spinning that, probably just got the wrong letter... no biggie. If the joke involves the extreme differences in culture I sort of get it especially if you haven't had much exposure to that sort of culture. It probably would seem quirky and funny in that case. However, Academic Achievement is the criteria, where a kid coming from the Dakota school can be expected to succeed at a much higher level whether they choose their career in NY, California, or the Mississippi Bayou... and they will be prepared to do so because of a comparatively low cost education provided by teachers who aren't constantly bitching in front of cameras. That should be taken seriously when considering our issues, obstacles, and options regarding a quality educational program.
