If the thug had broken into a conservative man's business and was menacing the owner, his employees, and his patrons, what if the conservative man pulled out a gun and told the perpetrator, "Halt or I'll shoot!"
Assume the perpetrator kept coming with a knife and said, "I gone kill all u crackaz!" What if the owner opened fire and shot the felon? In some states he would be fine under the law. In other states, he could be facing a capital murder charge.
The universal law of nature is that when someone menacingly comes at you, you are entitled to do everything within your power to protect life and limb. If someone is coming at me like that, I would not think for a micro-second about what kind of background he comes from, or his race, or the social implications of what caused him to be like that, or if he really means to kill me or only hurt me a little, or what role he believes Whites played in his self-inflicted miserable life. I would simply see a threat to my life and I would open fire and terminate that threat. I would not lose any sleep over it. In fact, I would sleep better for having rid the world of yet another dangerous thug. I would also take comfort in knowing that I handled the situation well and I would be even better prepared and more confident in handling it the next time. |
