Thanks, GZ. I'm certainly open-minded and try to understand the ideas of others.
When someone says, "If it weren't for the Liberals we would still be living in the Stone Age. Change is hard for most, imo," I would like to know more before responding.
From my perspective, leftist-thinking holds back mankind, rather than advances it. I think that because all of the leftisms involve total sharing and the creation of perfect equality for everyone in the collective, regardless of personal ability or contribution.
If one man has natural skills that allow him to perform highly-specialized tasks that are in high demand, he should be justly compensated for his contributions. In contrast, a man who is naturally inclined to loaf about idly, accomplishing nothing and contributing nothing to society, should also receive just compensation for his contributions. The first man's rewards should be very large relative to the second man's rewards.
For all leftists who believe that we should all share equally from the pie, would they be willing to accept lower grades in school, lower salaries at work, and lower living standards to accommodate those who do not want to put for the effort to achieve something for themselves?
Leftisms encourage a complete arrest of social development, where good deeds are not rewarded, the best efforts are not compensated, and the best ideas are taken for granted. |
