Time limits is a good idea, but only if it is part of broader reforms. We need to simplify government - and reestablish the limits on its power.

With term limits alone we'll still be stuck with the same stinking intrusive ruling classes. In fact, to some degree term limits will also limit their accountability -- politicians, knowing that they cannot get reelected, will spend more time and effort working to make corrupt "downpayments" with regard to their future post-Congressional careers.

Without broader reforms, we may simply end up having a larger crowd of power brokers and lobbyists - with experience and connections as former congressmen and senators. And active politicians will cooperate with them - because before long they'll all be joining the same crowd.
