Getting back to NT 4.0 support, I just stumbled upon a bit of
information in Diamond's 9/13/96 press release that I find
simply astounding: The FireGL does not currently support
Win NT 4.0.

A $2000 video card designed specifically for Windows NT
does not have support for NT 4.0 while a $120 game card
like the Stealth 3-D 2000 possesses this feature. Setting
aside the fact that the FireGL was dead-panned by Ziff-Davis
not two months ago, the fact that Diamond has failed to provide
NT 4.0 support for its highest-end product is simply mind boggling.

The Stealth 3-D is not suited to OpenGL applications, yet an
NT 4.0 driver is provided. The FireGL's Glint processor was
designed with OpenGL in mind, but Diamond has elected to
hold-off on NT 4.0 drivers for the FireGL.
