<<So Krugman thinks the Fed's policies of QE this and that and Obama's $5 trillion of deficit spending was futile?

What was needed? $20 trillion?

As best I can tell, Krugman was recommending $300 billion annual stimulus when Obama settled for $200 billion over 4 years.

I don't think the additional $400 billion would not have made any difference to the economy.>>

There was not a 5 trillion stimulus, yet you infer there was. You are not being honest and mixing apples and oranges. Do you do that on purpose or are you just a sloppy thinker?

Those trillions were given to the banks to keep them afloat which was first authorized by bush.

I am sure Krugman would say if the 5 trillion had gone to consumer's who could have stimulated demand, we would be out of this mess. Stiglitz wanted all the money given to the banks to be run throught the middle class. Krugman would/did? agree.

So you feel you have the credentials to challenge Krugman, Stiglitz, Volker, Roemer, Goolsby and others who wanted a larger stimulus?

Where did you get your PHD in economics?
