Reagan had NOTHING to do with the breakup of the Soviet Union. All Reagan did was throw away Trillions on stuff like toilet seats and anything else the military industrial complex wanted. Reagan was the "Father of Deficits" and he's the guy that got us into the MESS we are in today. When Reagan was running against Carter he made a point of how large our deficit was (I watched him say it), by saying if you put one dollar bills end to end they would reach the moon and back. By the time he left office our debt in dollars could have gotten you to the moon and back about THREE times.
