Not that I am comparing them, but Thomas Jefferson suffered from the same problem as did Abe Lincoln.

Point is that the easy ability to humanize oneself [whatever the hell that means, perhaps the writer thinks that Romney doesn't make enough trips to WalMart or some such] is irrelevant.
