had a psychotic episode after using weed

One of my clients is a prominent psychologist who has written several books. During one of our meetings when we were discussing a new book he's working on, he said that if it weren't for drugs, especially pot and LSD, he would have a much smaller practice. There's a big difference between occasional recreational use and every day use.

He uses his patients as examples (anonymous of course, although some would be very happy to be named). One such is a 50 YO man who started smoking pot when he was 15 and smoked it every day as an adult. He can't hold down a job for more than a month and has trouble carrying on a conversation. But most telling is the MRI of his brain. There's sections that show no activity.

I know, that's an extreme case, but we don't need the leader of the most powerful country in the world being a role model for all the kids, who now think it's cool that the president is a stoner. "If the president can do it, why can't I?"
