All: Here's an interesting blurb I picked up from a COGIF press release.

"In 1994, Cognicase released COGNI-2000, a comprehensive, flexible software tool set aimed at solving the Year 2000 problem. Cognicase completed its first automated end-to-end Year 2000 conversion in 1994 for a leading Canadian financial institution. To date, Cognicase, together with its strategic partners, has completed more than 30 end-to-end Year 2000 software conversions and more than 100 additional Year 2000 assessments, for a total of more than 100 customers."

Hmmmm ... end-to-end, automated conversion. The only thing lacking from the description is the word "fully".

So, I guess the 'never been done before' phrase is relative to the perspective of the person making it.
