John, the conner has the lowest mean rate between failure. Your chances of getting a defective drive are next to zilch. Look on the internet and try to find some quality stats. There isn't that much differnce anymore. Mail order is best way the warrantry is with vendor not ditributor. Look for the one that leads in offering longest warrnaty period. This is a correlation between this a quailty... BUT, sometimes vendors like packard bell fool you on this one.
