Everything has it's place and there is nothing binding us exclusively to a Newtonian paradigm. The practice of outlawing things is often more emotional or for nefarious control purposes than it is for the best interests of advancing our evolutionary progress. So, unless such 'outlawing' restricts us from action, there is no good reason to sanction it. In addition, assuming the “scientific community” is always scientific may be a mistake. Laws of science are often revised, where the very things forbidden at one moment in time may at some point become standard.

So, if we are willing to open the doors of consciousness to a unified theory of reality, then we have already made the decision to abandon restrictions which could be imposed on information gathering. That doesn’t mean we can’t continue to apply scientific method and validate information.
