Re: Tony's Motives
Tony, do you short LGND? If not, why do you seem to take glee in every LGND downturn? Just curious.
I am curious about this, as well. I know there have been some flare-ups on this thread involving "tonyt." I'd be most curious to know whether tonyt can envision a scenario where he is bullish on LGND
The big risk with any thread is that people develop an emotional attachment to their ideas (BTW, mea culpa, mea culpa, mea culpa! I think I know this best in the first person).
My suspicion of anyone who does not provide either a real name or an e-mail address is even greater than the skepticsm I hold for Internet posters generally (no flames, please: I know it's your right and privilege). I don't believe in the "I'm doing this for your own good" line. OTOH, I have been through situations where the most sneering, sarcastic, and obnoxious posters have been RIGHT.
On the recent price action, tonyt has been RIGHT (although I'll put in a plug for my observation of the weekly chart trendline from the spring... did you all notice how the stock dropped once that was violated?). And, believe it or not, tonyt is nowhere nearly as unpalatable as posters I've seen elsewhere.
I have to air one more matter. Dr. Niman's understanding of biochemistry and medical technology leaves me in awe. But, Henry, with all due respect, give it up when it comes to reading tea leaves on the bid-ask! Simple support and resistance, combined with a bit of cyclical analysis, combined with observing price action relative to the rest of the market and company news, will serve us all much better. As may a "buy and hold" strategy... :-)

p.s. Never underestimate the impact of new stock supply on price, even when it appears to be a fair trade for something else (such as part of a joint development venture... hint, hint, hint) |
