I was joking with this kid. But what I suggested is about the only thing she is qualified to do. Government service is the only place where you need no qualifications other than a Lib Art Degree.

I live in a community that is home to a small, expensive, upscale liberal arts college. Few years back, my wife was talking with a woman who was going to graduate in a year.

Lynne asked her what she wanted to do after she graduated.

The response was "um. be a consultant I guess."

"what do you want to consult about?"

"um, business, I guess."

This kid didn't have a clue. She had no concept that no one would be willing to pay her to consult and provide advice about "business" when she had no business skills whatsoever.

Her parents paid in the vicinity of $150,000 to $200,000 for her 4 year degree.
