My husband was of Polish descent, a calm and not-easily angered man. He was the first to laugh at Polish "jokes" and even told a few, but I can only imagine how furious he would be about the disgusting comment by Obama about "Polish death camps."

Here is a letter that I read on Breitbart. This woman certainly speaks for me:

Dear Mr. Pollak,
Perhaps you would like to read an email I sent to the Polish Embassy in Washington, DC immediately after reading about the terrible 'gaffe'.
Thank you for your article.

Dear Polish Friends,

As an American who can hardly imagine the horror, extreme
despair, and evil of the Nazi occupation of Poland, I want to apologize for the
senseless and woefully inaccurate words, “Polish death camp”. I am
appalled.

Please accept sincere apologies on behalf of my country for
this incomprehensible and stupefying error of which I am thoroughly
embarrassed.

I am ashamed, and I ask you to please forgive us and realize
that there are many, many Americans who would never utter such an abomination.
Please know that many Americans know your history and know the amazing
fortitude and bravery of the Polish people.

I greatly hope that the President will apologize for his
unfortunate error, as I am doing so now on behalf of all Americans who
understand your history and value our friendship and partnership with Poland.

I also send hearty congratulations on the occasion of the
award for your hero; a well-deserved Medal of Freedom recipient, Mr. Jan
Karski.

Many, many Americans are impressed with his bravery, and the
bravery of the Polish people, please be assured.

Respectfully,

Mari Rao

Hubertus, Wisconsin

USA
