That's good new and I hope it is true.

If Intel can actually produce their newest chip in mass then I think the upgrade will come shortly.

My current Mac Pro is just out of Applecare which I never like.

Would love to have a new Mac Pro that has Thunderbolt capability and 2 gb drives.

Also hope the new Apple TV thing comes with a Matte screen as it might make a cool display for my system as I'd love a 42 inch Matte screen to replace 24 inch Apple display.

Would be a great setup with a TV and 30 inch display side by side.
