Jury refuses to convict Edwards in case that should never have been brought. The indictment was secured by a Republican prosecutor who was running for Congress. It should be noted that John Ensign of Nevada was not prosecuted for the same type of conduct. It should also be noted the FEC did not even file civil charges. This was a witch hunt from the start.
