With 1/3 of the world allowing multiple wives & personages like King David having 1000 wives & sex slaves its going to be a real work of art on his part to prove a consistent moral guidline here . Does faith produce more faithfulness or does people waiting longer to marry produce better marriages , a subject that is debateable till the cock crows . Living to 80-90-100yrs now throws a new light on things as well depending on what geography & culture one is lucky to be born into . But education & parity of women seems to be working on one hand & that comes from the secular influences that in turn bring the religious more into focussed view not to mention into the 21rst century as well .

As for same sex marriage , just saw a former 5 star general of the US mention he now is in favor of it , that change happening is only a matter of when now in the US , not if . And that includes same sex households & parenting as well .
