I'm always looking for good thoughts, not having enough disciplined ones of my own. Your gap inquiry and specifically the island reversal has me going now. It seems straightforward on the surface. I'm sure with a combination of variable lookback time factors that this sort of chart action can be scanned. I need to reread some of the functions relating to LLV, HHV, HHVBars and LLVBars. There is a GapUp() and GapDown() function in the program that could possibly be used to determine when the +1 and -1 value outputs change over some variable time frame; but how to set the parameters in the scan. That's what I'm stuck on right now. Don't mail off $$ to the guys just yet. These things have a way of emerging in a day or two. Years ago it was a measure of minutes. Not no more. Craig
