George W Bush was self-deprecating and very funny -- appropriate to the moment, and providing the utmost contrast to Barack H Obama, who cannot laugh at himself. Moreover, I believe Bush understood exactly the contrast he would provide, and permitted himself this veiled slap at Obama. It can't be easy to stay silent as Obama does so much harm to America, and blames Bush for most of it.
