Paul, you may do whatever you want. If you want to believe the world is flat because a friend tells you so, that is your option...but problem solving and growth is based on dealing with facts and the facts are that the tuition costs are not what you claimed nor your friend. Most posters went to college, many helped their children...and cut checks too. My youngest daughter just finished med school last month and is now working as a transplant surgeon resident. I no longer have those expenses to cover. My three children are no longer deductions for me...I wrote lots of checks too. We know the tuition costs and the information you provided is wrong and I believe done purposely to support an agenda based on misinformation instead of the truth.
