People tend to forget (good idea if you have been holding Dell recently), but Dell rose just about 10,000% (100-fold) in the 1990s.

Way back when/then, I remember making a promise to, well, I am not exactly religious, so, the promise was to myself. Promise was that if beleaguered Apple should ever again equal the price of Dell, I would see all my Apple shares that day and buy an equal number of Dell shares.

I did not keep my promise.
