Anything that not fitting into the tiny box of your agenda is "out of the blue" ? What is more relevent & directly related to the human socities than the rise or fall of birth rates & changing economic scenes which is not some future problem as you put it but quite the phenomenon in many developing countries. This may not be such an issue in the vast Canadian frontiers that has the luxury the tiniest fraction of population vs land mass & resources not enjoyed by other regions like Asia ME & South America .
