Yes, I didn't mean that any of us either individually or as a group could find the bottom with certainty, and obviously as you pointed out in an earlier post, in the final analysis, everyone needs to make their own decisions about what to buy, when to buy, etc, and each of us needs to take responsibility for their own decision. Having said that, I think that many of us on this thread have a very good "feel" for what is going on in the market. I look back 15 years at my own understanding and performance in the market compared to today and there is no comparison. Much of that of course is not due solely to my effort, but is also due to the many tools available to all investors on a real time basis through the application of semiconductors. I don't expect to be "right on the button" all the time. I just want to catch the major part of these up and down cycles. I think that goal is much easier now than it used to be and is achievable with the tools and knowledge that we have. Don
