At some point we are going to have to take a leap of faith. The only thing we know for sure is that the bottom will come when we are all scared sh_tless, and can't make a move because we are afraid of going broke. We will feel that this is the Big Kahuna (really!!!), as they used to call it, and maybe some still do. The others were fakeouts, but this one is the Real Deal. Look at that 800t of derivatives that some people pretend will make them safe and whole, lol (shades of "portfolio insurance" of '87), The govt will backstop it. Yeah, right. Paper money was a grand experiment, we will say, but that is over, back to gold and silver and barter. When we can't fathom why anyone would buy a share of stock--a piece of paper in a company far far away with management that is basically in it for themselves not for its putative "owners"--that will be the time to buy. And most of us will kick ourselves a year later, because that is the way Mr. Market with his perverse comedic persona works.
