There are no easy solutions to a torn tendon. It will likely bother you for a long time. But I strongly suggest that you take a lot of time to get it back in shape. Once again, long walks are the best exercise for it. Try trails. If you have not been out and done trails it is a great experience. I'm not saying don't run, but I would be very careful about it. Ice may help a bit, but it is not a cure all as some may believe. You need to put a moderate level of stress on the tendon tissues for relatively long periods of time. When it hurts back off.
This may be just breaking into a walk when you are running, or giving yourself a day or two rest.

As I wrote previously an important aspect of rehabilitation is learning to tell discomfort from pain. If you push the tissues you can get discomfort which indicates a positive stress response, but just a bit farther is pain which means they have be injured. It is not an easy process. Caution is always your friend.,

You can buy into the idea that there is some cure all for anything and just go on ruining your body. But remember, the same people who encourage you to do stupid things are likely to tell you they told you it was really dumb to do it. Then they will kick sand in your face and walk away. Beware of those who sneer at caution.
