I do not see this as off topic to ERC. If indeed CO2 is a problem then indeed ERC seems to be a solultion and a major investment should be made in this technology. The potential reduction of 50 percent in CO2 would not be insignificant. Is this a valid number?

WRT the CO2 cycle..If indeed we have too much CO2 and the organic process removes the CO2 from the atmosphere why would anyone want to burn it and return it to the atmosphere? Just bury it deep or leave it on the stump or do something constructive with the carbon but the last thing that should be contemplated is to return it to the atmosphere. Wouldn't it make more sense to remove the CO2 from the atmosphere and at the same time minimize the replacement by using efficient technology such as fuel cells? Does a new CO2 molecule do less damage to the atmosphere than an old one? I doubt it.

There is now an opportunity for the undeveloped nations to do something that we did not. Why would we want to assist them going down the wrong path? It doesn't make sense. Why not help them develop around environmentally sound solutions?
