2008 unfortunately confirmed that it is every man for himself, IMHO. Wealth destruction will probably be a long term thing via deflation and taxation for those savers of the World. It will be tough to hide.

I guess the important lesson we can take is that wealth can be won or lost and the simplier things in life are what really matter. If I lose it all I can say I was thankful for the taste, but it is not the substance of who I am.
