Atin,

I've enjoyed the atmosphere that you've created around here, and you should be commended for initiating this thread and keeping it orderly. So, Congratulations!

I also enjoyed your views on the hardware/software side of things, and I find your posts along with those of others here a refreshing relief among some of the other traffic, to sit back and gain new insights and soak up some good information.

I'd be interested in knowing how you and the others here feel about:

(1) the relevancy of the pending ITU/IMTC VoIP draft, vis a vis already-installed systems;

(2) when the standard will be ratified; and

(3) if the proposed standard has gone far enough to bridge the chasm between traditional circuit-switched voice networking and that of future VoIP services.

I have some views on these issues which I've expressed here in the past at times, and I'd like see some opinions regarding these matters from you and the others.
