6/8/12 Contest Update
It’s June, wedding season. That’s as good an explanation as any I’ve seen for why wary investors decided to say “I do” to stocks this week. Whether taking the plunge will be for better or worse, time will tell.
At Friday’s close, the Contest median was up 17.31% YTD (vs. up 12.53% YTD a week ago). In comparison, the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 18.33% YTD (vs. up 14.41% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 9.72% YTD (vs. up 5.46% YTD a week ago).
DONS’ portfolio, up 50.23% YTD, remained the Contest leader, with BIOJIM’s’ portfolio, up 44.56% YTD, and BIOMAV’s portfolio, up 38.93% YTD, holding on to their No. 2 and No. 3 positions.
At Friday's close, 7 of the 38 Contest portfolios were in the red and 19 of the 38 portfolios were beating the NBI.
