Sorry, Steve. Didn't mean to blow the game. Clearly Big Blue is alot more than a box maker. Not that box making can't be a great business, if you do it like the pros at Dell and Compaq. But IBM now appears to be making a bid toward leading the 300mm initiative. Again I ask you, can they do this without causing conflict in the channel? Is it really cheaper/better for them to vertically integrate and make rather than buy? Do they really have a shot at blowing past Asian competition in 1GB DRAMs?
