It's clear from today's postings that bit about "personal attacks" is meaningless. I get it. Yes- I don't like open boards where people name call. Absolutely true. It's even worse when moderators pretend there won't be personal attacks, and there are. We might as well just be honest. Right? I disagree (sometimes strongly) with the folks on my thread. But it is an "echo chamber" in the sense that no one calls me names. I think I do prefer that.
