<<are you happy about the sale?>> we will see. the initial message is that the new company will provide everyone a job and no one has to move. which means not eligible for severance. i was disappointed with this news, because i was hoping for severance since i have been thinking about hanging it up this year or next in any case. but there is some indication that severance might be available after all, in which case i will be extremely happy with the sale. i have been planning on retiring in any case, but was hoping that i might get a goodbye kiss. my downside is i am in roughly the same position i would have been anyway, but there is a possible upside. i am not unhappy. (plus easier to sell to my wife, since she does not believe in idleness!)
