IIRC, the Reemption Act calls for European sovereign debt in excess of 60% of GDP to be collateralized with gold.

It has not been made law. It's 'out here' as the first significant gold-based proposal In a very long time. It is ground-breaking and worthy of watch 'n brief for that reason alone.
