Gary: OK you convinced me that ASND has an equal shot (as COMS) of beng aquired by CPQ. If CPQ wants to reach $40 B by 2000, they must get into TELCO EQUIP business. Buying Tandem, COMS and ASND will put them squarely into desktop/laptop (CPQ)- enterprise servers (Tandem) - LAN (COMS) -WAN (ASND) market leadership. This and their relationship with MSFT and INTC, they will be able to kick DELL and CSCO'c YKW. satish
