Here's a little scenario we'll see repeated often as Team USA adjusts to globalization. This outfit runs a 3,200 acre pecan orchard in Las Cruces, New Mexico. High fuel/material costs plus the recession destroyed their retail business selling pecan gift baskets and treats. But their wholesale business is going strong, thanks to that high Chinese demand discussed in my previous link. I figure Team USA needs two decades of such restructuring, starting from 2007... ;)
