The reasons are multiple-------The Washington Post for years considered itself the controller of all that was political in Virginia and Maryland. After awhile one ask why should I support a newspaper with dollars that does not reflect my moderate-conservative views.

Hence, I stopped buying their paper copies almost 20 years ago. I would much rather have a copy of Forbes or the Wall Street Journal and any local papers that address what is happening in the local communities or counties.

Recently, we have The Examiner which is doing a great job with providing a weekly small paper that reviews the major news. One can read it quickly and quietly without the blare of the internet and computers.

I shed no tears for WAPO-----politically they did it to the company and don't appear to have understood the need for change in a changing world of information.
