Joe, all you own is 30 lousy shares with that short a fuse!!!! Sell. Give it up.

Everything I raised on this thread was addressed in Marengi's interview with Christine Burns in Network World 9/16/96. An excellent reporter doing a terrific interview and Marengi took the ball and ran with it with every opportunity he was given.

"We will have created enough mindshare that people recognize us (Novell) as an intranet player." ---Marengi's goal

My only comment is that his time period has to be shorter than a year.

He also outlined a strategy of
-1-moving directory services onto other OS platforms.
Very important and on its way. Developing standards for the network.
-2-migrating Netware into intranet space.
Very important but in the vaporware stage. No real evidence to date that it is being done in a knock your socks off impressive way. Give us a more impressive marketing effort please.
-3-migrating Novell apps like Groupwise to the network user interface, the browser end of the web server/browser future.
Very impressive and the product is real.

I found the Marengi interview impressive enough to buy 1000 shares of Novell today. (how many did you buy Joe or did you buy a Big Mac instead)
