>> Europe chose Republican austerity; Obama chose spending. Europe is sinking deeper into recession. The US is in recovery.

As Tim pointed out last night, Europe did NOT choose "austerity":

Yes, its not much but compared to the US where spending was increased its significant and enough to make a difference between recovery and continuing recession. Its why the Euros are getting fed up with their leaders.

Rs are still not ready to govern. They have yet to learn and understand basic economics.

Secondly, to suggest the US is "in recovery" is just as stupid as Obama's remarks last week concerning the economy. Real economic growth at < 2% and falling is not "recovery". The economy is totally stagnant.

Dude, in most of the US, things are getting better.......housing markets are starting to see price appreciation and multiple bids; cars are selling like hotcakes; new bldgs are under construction. Its only in the southern states where things are lagging. They are like Europe. Even Atlanta is not doing that great.

Having said that, the damage was significant........Bush really ran the country into the ground. I still can't accept that he and his Rs did not pay a price for their hubris and malfeasance. Obama was too nice to them.
